Nature is a powerful teacher. Several years of immersion during the 1980’s initiated a personal transformation that led to The Nature Code.
Prior to this I was involved in a business supporting industrialised agriculture. It became evident, during this time, that our disconnect from Mother Earth was responsible for much disharmony and destruction in the world. Profit based decisions were being made without consideration for mother earth or social and cultural systems that had emerged over millennia. We were clearly on a collective charge toward a sustainability cliff edge fueled by a supreme belief in the rational mind as authority, and success measured by quantity.
I sought refuge from the crazy world of business in the tall timber country of the south west of Western Australia. There I purchased a rundown 240 acre dairy property and soon after removed the introduced stock and opened the fences to an adjoining national park. Over the next six years or so I walked the property most days and observed what occurred.
I learnt that nature is intelligent.
I learnt that nature is intelligent. Once the constraints were removed I did not need to tell Mother Earth what to do or how to do it. The land returned to balance and health, and localised ecosystems emerged that supported an abundant and diverse range of native animals. I developed a very strong relationship with the land, and as it healed and came back to life, so did I. A time came when it felt as if I had been accepted by the land and was now part of a vast nature family. Memory, Information and knowledge, like a natural spring, simply percolated into my conscious mind according to my needs and curiosity at the time.
It became evident that all things in the natural world emerge from powerful creative processes
It became evident that all things in the natural world emerge from powerful creative processes, including the physical bodies we inhabit as spiritual beings. These processes self-organise into interconnected systems that support life and our existence. They are intelligent, responsive, creative, and have tremendous transformational capacity. Via conscious connection the knowledge and wisdom of Mother Earth becomes available and the ‘spiritual medicine’ of the landscape, plants and animals is offered to us. Most importantly, understanding these creative processes, and learning to collaborate with them and Mother Earth enables us to step into our roles as co-creators for a life in balance.
For me these were profound experiences that transformed understanding of self, relationships with all things, and my world view. Mother Earth was calling me to wake up and work with her for transformation and sustainability. I made a commitment from a place of deep feeling to do so without knowing what it meant for my future life journey.
I discovered a new science called Nonlinear Dynamical Systems Theory
This commitment took me away from the land I had come to love and be loved by, to the city and university where I studied psychology and philosophy as a mature age student. Whilst there I discovered a new science called Nonlinear Dynamical Systems Theory (NDS) in the university library. The pioneers of this wonderful and rapidly growing field of knowledge were discussing self-organising systems. Within their work was a conceptual framework and language that helped me assimilate and integrate much of what I had learnt from Mother Earth and nature along with my psychology and philosophy studies.
I have explored various ancient and indigenous wisdom traditions and discovered they knew these processes
Since this time I have explored various ancient and indigenous wisdom traditions and discovered they knew these processes and talk about them in their own way. This has given me great respect for the people who have carried this knowledge across the ages and are now making it available. I also worked as a psychologist with trauma and abuse recovery and continued my study of nonlinear systems. The opportunity to explore the human condition and understand it via a systems perspective has been invaluable.
Integration of ancient wisdom with new knowledge reveals more than either can in isolation from each other
Integration of ancient wisdom with new knowledge reveals more than either can in isolation from each other. The new sciences are keys that unlock additional wisdom and knowledge from within the ancient and indigenous wisdom traditions. Once this is revealed the ancient traditions unlock more insight from within the new sciences, and so on. There are no coincidences and the beauty of transformational process is revealed when we stop to reflect on this. Wisdom traditions have carried knowledge that is being fully revealed at our time of greatest need, by events of the time. The consciousness that has held this outcome for us to be released at a time of great transformational opportunity is profound indeed!
During the past few years I have had opportunity to connect with others engaged in similar systems exploration internationally and participate in conferences as an attendee and presenter. I have met wonderful teachers and mentors throughout these years who shared their knowledge willingly and invited me into their networks with the opportunity to provide talks and workshops to further progress my work.
The more I learn the simpler it becomes. In essence, there is a fundamental process blueprint within us and once constraints are removed a journey of transformational healing and change is initiated. Connection with nature empowers this process and much information and wisdom becomes available. It is not complicated. I have come to call these profoundly intelligent systems and interactive processes The Nature Code. The Nature Code is not a thing within itself but simply points towards a natural transformational pathway embedded in all of creation, including us.
We all carry a piece of the solution
We all carry a piece of the solution and coming together in right relationship with each other, nature and Mother Earth, according to these processes, brings forward innovative solutions and transformational outcomes. A growing transformational network is emerging and we are working together collaboratively to provide events, seminars and workshops. Our aim is to provide a safe transformational pathway into a new worldview that people around our wonderful Earth are exploring. We invite you to join us in our exploration of The Nature Code for contributive learning. Our wish is that you will be inspired to use this learning in your individual or collaborative contribution to the transformation of consciousness necessary for a sustainable and just future.
In peace and love

I have always loved nature and spent a lot of time in the bush. Being a farmer’s daughter, I witnessed the harsh reality of industrialised agriculture at an early age. Intuitively I knew the destruction and harm caused by this approach was not right. So, in my teens I decided to study environmental science and after graduation, I worked in community landcare for most of my career. From an early age, Mother Earth called me.
from an early age, Mother Earth called me
For 20 years, I worked as an environmental scientist at the local, state and national levels. I also did research at the global level to better understand Mother Earth. I worked with passionate, dedicated people striving for change. Sadly, over the years and despite my best efforts, I watched as bushland was destroyed and wetlands mindlessly cleared.
In 2014 I realised it was time to stop fighting the system. It was time to step away and disengage. I knew there had to be a better way. I realised thinking and acting from the old paradigm was not going to bring the changes needed for global sustainability. Collectively, the same barriers kept turning up to maintain the status quo. For me, the only way forward was to start thinking and acting in a new way, but I didn’t know how.
it was time to stop fighting the system
That year, I began walking an ancient energy line that travels from Perth to Uluru. Under the spiritual guidance of two Aboriginal Elders, and with a group of fantastic people, I walked over 500kms along this energy line. Often we walked in silence. Often I walked with my eyes closed, sensing the landscape through my heart.
Whilst walking the energy line, a personal transformation occurred. I surrendered. I learnt to trust, let go and allow consciousness to work through me. I got used to seeing and feeling the landscape through my heart. I fully opened my consciousness to Mother Earth and learnt there is knowledge and wisdom stored in the landscape. I got to see and experience a new level of connection, with the information I was receiving validated by experiences in our walking group.
I surrendered. I learnt to trust, let go and allow consciousness to work through me
During this time, I learnt we are intricately connected to Mother Earth and her to us. I learnt she provides the spiritual medicine needed in any given moment. I found out she responds to us, and is always there, waiting to connect. I learnt that we are vibration, like songs of light moving through the landscape. I learnt how to turn up the right way, and how to shine my light into dark places. I realised the most important thing I can do for Mother Earth, is to raise my vibration so I am more in tune with hers.

Following my surrender to spirit, 18-months of chaos reigned in my life. Everything I thought about myself, my career, my family, was released. Nothing was certain. Nothing remained the same. I had to completely let go. I had to trust and wait to see what would become real.
During this transformation I met John. I found myself learning about Non-Linear Systems Dynamics and the human condition. I learnt how to hold space during times of chaos, how to connect to Mother Earth for healing and release, and how to envision my future. I learnt how to call forth and connect with the consciousness of what I wanted in my life. I learnt how to trust and work with natures ‘process’.

During this time, I was also guided to a Master’s in Business Administration (MBA). I didn’t know why at the time, but since then, a passion has formed around working with ‘process’ to create new governance models, business practices and a ‘living business’. These concepts are being applied in The Nature Code, which is our contribution to the emerging evolution of business occurring worldwide.
its time to hear Mother Earth’s call to connect with her now.
Finally, since then, I am grateful John and I have had the opportunity to travel and learn from indigenous cultures around the world. We have travelled to North America and Peru learning from the Native Americans and the Shipibo people in the Amazon jungle. We have also learnt from Australian Aboriginals as holders of the oldest living culture on Earth. All say the same thing – its time to hear Mother Earth’s call to connect with her now.
Welcome to The Nature Code.
